Boston Orthotics & Prosthetics is pleased to announce a new training option that you can take advantage of from anywhere, including your home. With our new eLearning center you can stay connected with the most up to date technology and techniques with Boston O&P. Students, Residents, Certified Orthotists, Physical Therapists and other allied health professionals are welcome to register for our courses. A certificate of completion is provided for continuing education submissions.

Current eLearning opportunities:
Course 1: The Boston Brace Student Course. Understanding the non-operative treatment of idiopathic scoliosis with the Original Boston Brace System (2 CEUs). This course is for those who are new to scoliosis or need a refresher course about the condition and bracing options. Students and O&P Residents are welcome to take the course free of charge.
Course 2: The Boston Brace 3D® Course. This course is designed for the more seasoned professionals who are familiar with scoliosis and want to learn about these new advanced bracing options. Participants get 10 CEUs through the American Board for Certification. An additional 6 credits are available if you complete five, one-to-one video chats with a Boston O&P Certified CPO during the fittings. This course is available for just $200.00 US. We are also offering additional clinicians in your organization the option of taking this course for just $50.00 each. First clinician for $200, each additional clinician for just $50.
Course 3: The Boston Brace Baby Course. This course is specifically designed to utilize many of the Mehta and Boston Brace 3D concepts for the treatment of infantile idiopathic scoliosis. Participants get 3 CEUs through the American Board for Certification. This course is free to all users.
NEW Course 4: The Boston Brace Night Shift Course. Nighttime bracing has gained popularity because of its effectiveness in treating scoliosis during sleeping hours. Having to wear a scoliosis brace all day can be tough for young teens, so having the nighttime option may increase compliance. This is a custom made brace from a scan of the patient. Participants get 1 CEU through the American Board for Certification. This course can be taken for $50.00 US.
NEW Course 5: The Boston Brace RC Course. The Boston Brace RC is an asymmetrical, anterior opening, custom fabricated scoliosis orthosis. This is a custom made brace from a scan of the patient and incorporates the principles of the Rigo-Cheneau brace. We strongly encourage all participants to take the Boston Brace 3D course before taking this course. Participants get 2 CEUs through the American Board for Certification. This course can be taken for $50.00 US.
Course 6: The Boston Band course. Developed in conjunction with specialists in cranio-facial (plastic surgery) and pediatric neurology as an effective helmet solution to the problem of positional plagiocephaly, brachycephaly, asymmetrical brachycephaly, as well as for post-operative craniosynostosis patients. Participants get 3.25 CEUs through the American Board for Certification. This course can be taken for $50.00 US.
Course 7: Introduction to the Dynamic Movement Orthosis (DMO). Dynamic Movement Orthoses (DMO) are form fitting orthoses that use dynamic elastomeric fabric to provide a proprioceptive and biomechanical effect that helps guide and control movement for the patient. Participants get 3.75 CEUs through the American Board for Certification. This course is free to all users.
