I've been coming here for 19 years. It's a great place, with nice people and the best service. —Nopco East BrunswickPlagio Cradle The Plagio CradleTM was developed by Dr. Gary Rogers and James Miller, CPO at the Children’s Hospital of Boston. This product is a device for preventing or treating early signs of Plagiocephaly only. Plagiocephaly is defined as a flattening on one side of the back of the head, with a bulging of the forehead on the same side. The Plagio Cradle is a preventative contoured sleep surface that cradles the base of the infant's head to encourage symmetrical growth, possibly avoiding the need for a cranial remolding helmet. If you would like to read more about the Plagio Cradle please take a look at our Patient Information Handout. WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN REFERRED TO NOPCO FOR A PLAGIO CRADDLE Parents should plan on an hour for their first appointment at a NOPCO treatment center. During this appointment, your orthotist will provide the infants parent with information about repositioning techniques, plagiocephaly, and Plagio Cradle protocols. A general history will be taken as well as detailed measurements and a 3D scan. The scan uses a combination of infant safe lasers and cameras to capture the surface of your child's head.
