Administrative Staff at NOPCO
Reports to: Business Manager
Perform all administrative duties of front desk and office as assigned in a professional, courteous, customer-oriented manner. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Handle third party billing.
Manage hold bucket (bills to be generated) to ensure all items are billed/processed correctly.
Schedule initial and follow up patient appointments.
Act as primary phone coverage.
Handle check-in and check-out patient procedures.
Collect co-pays when applicable.
Verify patients insurance.
Obtain authorizations/predeterminations from insurance companies.
Confirm patients one day prior to appointment date.
Prepare patient charts; print daily schedule for Practitioners.
Assist in ordering.
Review WIP patients to ensure all items and patients are continuously active.
Review no-shows on a daily basis; call, document, and reschedule patient.
Obtain physician schedules.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
High School or Associate Degree; related experience and/or training.
Minimum of two to three years administrative experience in a healthcare environment
Computer competency skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent organization and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Excellent customer service skills
Professional phone manner
Ability to work well with others
